Nassarius (Nassarius vibex) snails should be your first line of defense for high nitrates and ammonia. They also combat cyanobacteria aka "Red Slime Algae".

These being the smaller species of nassarius we offer will bury in the sand waiting for your fish to be fed. Once they smell the food they come up from the sand like zombies wanting to devour anything your fish missed.

As long as you feed your fish you can't have too many of these. We recommend 5 per 10 gallons. In aquariums 75 gallons and up we suggest our Large Tongan Nassarius (Nassarius distortus)
